Salutations,
I want
to start out this month by thanking your Lodge Officers and the others
that helped cook and serve the Stated Meeting dinner at the August
Stated Meeting. The food was delicious and cooked to perfection by
Worshipful Frank Gillespie and our newly raised Brother James Wong.
Special thanks to Brother Bill Booth (your Senior Warden) and Mike
Winford (your Junior Warden) for their help in coordinating the
kitchen effort. Thanks also to Brother James Arend (your Senior
Deacon) and Mike Frias (your Junior Deacon) for their help in getting
the food out. We even had two men who have been elected, but not even
Initiated that pitched in to help – both Mr. Matt Maloof and Mr. Paulo
Amaral were busy as bees – and my thanks went out to them. If this is
any indication, they will be great members. On top of all this,
everyone involved in putting on the Stated Meeting Dinner has fun. It
was a spectacular effort by all, and I am sure I left someone off the
list (and my apology if I did leave you off).
As with
the first part of this year, we have a lot planned for your Lodge.
Please check out the calendar and see what you can attend. For
example, there is a Third Degree for Brother Brian Whittig on
September 3 at 7PM. Also, we will be having a lot of First Degrees
coming up, and it really means a lot to the newly Initiated Brother
and your Lodge when you attend. Your attendance demonstrates that
there are a lot of Brothers who care about Freemasonry, and that the
fraternity they are joining is indeed the greatest in the world (maybe
I am a bit prejudice, but I think Masonry is the greatest fraternity
in the world).
On
another note, Grand Lodge continues to remind us on the importance of
supporting our Masonic Youth Groups. I want to add my voice to that
cause and ask all members to try and become involved. We are lucky to
have all three Masonic Youth groups meet at our Lodge, and we need to
support their efforts to help encourage positive behavior among our
youth.
Finally,
we will be going over the Grand Lodge resolutions at the September
meeting. I will be posting the resolutions on the bulleting board at
the Lodge so everyone has a chance to look them over before the Stated
Meeting.
As I
said before, the rest of this year promises to be as exciting as the
first. All we need is for you to come out and enjoy the great things
that folks have worked so hard to put on for your benefit. Harmony
abounds in your Lodge, lots of friends await your attendance, and your
presence makes the Lodge even better. See you at the next event,
meeting, or activity.

Brethren,
Hope everyone
had a good summer and vacation alike. Congratulations to our newly
raised Brother, James Wong, the degree went real good and the
officer’s did a real nice job. We have more 3rd Degrees
coming up in August and will cover them in the next article, also
September 3rd Brother Brian Whittig will receive his 3rd
degree, hope to see as many of you that can show up. September has a
full line of events listed on the calendar, also the stated meeting of
August went real well with the officer’s cooking and also the help on
many other’s in attendance.
Fraternally,
Bill Booth
Senior Warden

I just thought all of you would be
