Worshipful Master

Greetings,

More good news is coming to you from YOUR Lodge.  As you can see from the calendar, we have a lot of Third Degrees coming up.  I encourage all of you to attend (of course).  There are very few reasons why you should miss a Brother being raised to the sublime degree of Master Mason, none of them valid.

It has been quite a busy year so far.  However, there is still a lot more to come.  We have at least 4 candidates that we need to put on Degrees for, the annual trip to Laughlin is coming up (see inside for more information), Grand Lodge is right around the corner, and we have a lot more activities for all of our members and sweethearts. Of course we have the monthly dinner and Stated Meeting that we look for you to attend.

My continued thanks to all your Lodge Officers and their support.  I also know that Brother Bill Booth is working on his plans for next year, and is looking for a few good volunteers to help out.  Many people think that the Lodge is run by the Worshipful Master, but I can assure all of you that it takes a village of dedicated members like we have in our Golden Trowel Norwalk Lodge to make all this work.

Speaking of folks that help.  Have you been to your Lodge website lately?  My thanks to Worshipful Larry Williams for his excellent work putting together a great website.  The website has a lot of event photos, an annual calendar, the Trestleboard (past and current editions), and a lot of other great information.  Our website is really worth the time to visit.  Your Lodge website is:

                             www.GTNmasoniclodge.com

On that same note of new things, we had the first Masonic Roundtable on June 19.  While I regret not being able to attend, I am happy that it went so well.  The information shared, the opinions expressed, and the fellowship that was evident made the evening a success. My thanks to Brother Mike Frias for helping to make the evening a hit.  We have another Masonic Roundtable scheduled for this month.  See the inside of this issue for more information.

Again, we have a lot of good “stuff” coming up.  Whether it’s the Third Degrees that are coming up, or the Constitutional Observance Celebration in August, or the Masonic Family Picnic in September, or the Annual Trip to Laughlin…We need you to participate and make everything we do a success.  It’s your Lodge.  Come and enjoy the spirit of Freemasonic Fellowship and fun.  You won’t be sorry you gave it a try.  I will guarantee that you will be welcomed with open arms…You are our Brethren.
